Manage usage credits

Usage credits let you keep using Stockcount’s AI features after you’ve used up the credits included with your plan. They’re off by default, billed at cost, and capped by a monthly spend limit you control.

Plan credits vs. usage credits

Every Stockcount plan includes a set number of AI credits each month. Voice counting, chat, receipt scanning, and briefings each use a small amount of credits. Your included credits refresh at the start of every billing cycle — you can see how many you have left, and when they reset, on your Billing page.

Usage credits (also called “extra usage”) are what keep you going if you run out of included credits before your cycle resets. When they run out and usage credits are off, AI features pause until your next refresh.

How usage credits work

  • Turn them on from the Billing page. You need an active subscription and a card on file.
  • Once your included credits are spent, Stockcount keeps working and the extra usage is added up as you go.
  • The total is billed on your nextinvoice as a single line item — there’s nothing to buy up front.
  • You’re only ever billed for what you actually use.

What it costs

Extra usage is billed at cost — the same rate your plan credits are valued at (1 credit = 1¢ of AI cost), with no markup. If you use $3.20 of extra usage in a cycle, that’s exactly what shows up on your invoice.

Your monthly spend limit

To prevent surprises, usage credits have a monthly spend limit (default $50). Once your extra usage reaches the limit for the cycle, it pauses — AI features stop until either you raise the limit or your credits refresh.

You can raise or lower the limit anytime with Adjust limit on the Billing page. The amount spent resets to $0 at the start of each billing cycle, at the same time your included credits refresh.

Turning usage credits on or off

Use the toggle in the Usage credits section of your Billing page. Turning them off stops any further extra usage immediately; any extra usage already accrued this cycle still bills on your next invoice. Turning them on takes effect right away.

When usage credits won’t run

If your subscription payment is past due, usage credits pause until your account is back in good standing — we won’t add new charges to an invoice that’s already failing to collect. Update your card in the billing portal to resume.
